RAWALPINDI:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, his wife Bushra Bibi, and several senior party leaders were on Friday booked in a "triple murder case" involving the deaths of three Rangers personnel during the opposition party's November 24 protest.

A first information report (FIR) was registered at Islamabad's Ramna Police Station, alleging that the incident was carried out in accordance with a "plan orchestrated at Adiala Jail," where Imran Khan has been incarcerated for over a year.

The FIR has named Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi as the principal suspects in the case.

The report further alleged that the deaths of the paramilitary personnel occurred "at the behest of the PTI founder," with "some inmates and employees of the jail's undercover police" cited as witnesses to the alleged plot.
