PESHAWAR:

Advisor to the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister (K-P CM) for Finance and Inter-Provincial Coordination Muzammil Aslam has expressed concern over the suspension of funds for the merged districts (formerly Federally Administered Tribal Areas or FATA) by Planning Commission Chairman Ahsan Iqbal.

Aslam stated that Ahsan Iqbal had retained his positions as Chairman and Deputy Chairman but had halted funds for the merged districts without any justification.

He criticized Ahsan Iqbal's actions, saying that he had done the same in 2022, which was unacceptable.

He emphasized that the timely provision of developmental funds for the merged districts was the right of the public of these districts and that they would not make any humble requests for the release of funds.

The Advisor urged the Prime Minister and Finance Minister to take immediate notice of the suspension.
