Taylor Swift made a surprise visit to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City on Thursday, December 12, brightening the day for young patients and their families. The Grammy-winning artist bonded with children over the Kansas City Chiefs and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce. One patient enthusiastically declared Kelce as their favorite player, to which Swift replied with a smile, “Yes, me too.”
Social media posts from hospital staff and patients’ families praised Swift for her kindness and genuine connection. Melissa Nuzum, the mother of a young patient, shared photos of Swift interacting with her daughter, writing, “She is amazing—kind, personable, and down to earth.” Nuzum added that her daughter, who requests Swift’s songs during procedures, was thrilled to receive a signed Eras Tour book.
Swift also received heartfelt gifts from the children, including Chiefs-themed memorabilia, such as a blanket reading “Go Taylor’s Boyfriend.” She took time to sing, dance, and take photos with the children, leaving an impression of warmth and generosity.
This visit follows the conclusion of Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour, which sold out 149 concerts worldwide and became the highest-grossing tour of all time. During the tour, she distributed $197 million in bonuses to her crew, highlighting her commitment to those around her.
Although Kelce missed Swift’s final performance due to his NFL commitments, he expressed admiration for her achievements on his “New Heights” podcast, calling her tour a “full production” led by her talent.
Swift’s Kansas City visit underscored her dedication to spreading joy, both on stage and in the lives of her fans.
