PESHAWAR:

The Anti-Terrorism Special Court in Peshawar has extended the physical remand of a police official arrested for facilitating the suicide bomber in the Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines blast by an additional 10 days.

On Wednesday, the physical remand of the accused, Wali Muhammad, expired, and he was presented before ATC Judge Muhammad Iqbal Khan.

During the hearing, the investigation officer from the CTD (Counter-Terrorism Department) informed the court that Wali Muhammad has been accused of facilitating the suicide bomber involved in the Police Lines attack. The accused was arrested at the BRT station, where he reportedly assisted the bomber.

The court had initially granted a 15-day physical remand, which ended on Wednesday. However, the CTD requested an extension, stating that further investigation of the accused is required.
