CM Maryam Nawaz visits Shanghai Industrial Zone

During her visit, she showed keen interest in e-commerce and exports.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has expressed keen interest in the e-commerce sector and highlighted its potential during a recent visit to Shanghai’s industrial zone.

She also examined the Hong Qiao Import Commodity, Exhibition, and Trading Centre, where she showed particular interest in the displayed products, Express News reported.

During the visit, Maryam Nawaz toured the Pakistani stall at the exhibition, where she was briefed about various sectors and Pakistan’s growing exports.

She was particularly impressed by the products on display and met young entrepreneurs working to promote Pakistani goods.

At the Hong Qiao Import Exhibition and Trade Centre, she also visited the Pakistani Pavilion, which showcased local products.

Maryam Nawaz met with young traders involved in marketing Pakistani products and expressed her support for their efforts.

The Chief Minister instructed Punjab’s authorities to conduct a study on e-commerce and take necessary steps to foster its growth in the province.

She also discussed the establishment of an IT City in Punjab, emphasising the need for special initiatives to promote e-commerce and IT products.

“We aim to promote IT products in Punjab, and special efforts will be made for the growth of e-commerce within the IT City,” said Maryam Nawaz.
