Kareena Kapoor gets Indian PM Modi’s autograph for sons Taimur and Jeh

Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan revealed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had signed an autograph for her sons, Taimur and Jeh, during her family’s visit to commemorate the legacy of legendary actor-filmmaker Raj Kapoor.

The Kapoor family, including Kareena, Ranbir Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Alia Bhatt, Neetu Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, and others, met the prime minister on Tuesday in New Delhi.

Kareena shared pictures from the meeting on Instagram, including a note signed by Modi that read “Tim and Jeh.”They invited him to the Raj Kapoor Film Festival, which will honour the iconic filmmaker’s centenary.

The festival, organised by PVR INOX Limited and the Film Heritage Foundation, will run from 13 to 15 December. It will feature 10 of Raj Kapoor’s classic films, including Awara, Barsaat, and Shree 420, screened across 135 cinemas in 40 cities.

Kareena expressed her gratitude to the prime minister, calling it an “extraordinary moment” for the family. “We are deeply humbled and honoured to have been invited by the Honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, to commemorate the extraordinary life and legacy of our grandfather, the legendary Raj Kapoor,” she wrote in her post.

She added that the family was “proud to showcase his iconic films” through the festival and honour his timeless contributions to Indian cinema.

December 14 marks the 100th birth anniversary of Raj Kapoor, who is remembered for his groundbreaking contributions as an actor, director, and producer. Known for his humanist themes and iconic music, Kapoor’s work remains a cornerstone of Indian cinema.

The Kapoor family, including Rima Jain and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, expressed hope that the prime minister would attend the festival. Kareena also highlighted the prime minister’s warmth and support during their interaction, describing the experience as a significant milestone for the Kapoor clan.
