An 8-year-old girl has gone missing under mysterious circumstances from a private school in Karachi's Shah Latif Town area.
The girl's father, Sameer Shah, filed an abduction case at Shah Latif Police Station, Express News reported.
The case has been registered under Section 364 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC).
According to the FIR, Sameer Shah, a resident of Gulshan-e-Irfani and a rickshaw driver, reported that his daughter, accompanied by her brother Bilal, went to the school on December 10.
“During school dismissal, my son waited for his sister, but she did not arrive. He returned home, and I immediately went to the school, but she was nowhere to be found,” Sameer Shah said in his complaint.
“We searched for her with relatives and neighbours, but she is missing. I believe my daughter has been abducted due to some unknown enmity,” he added.
Police officials have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, though no leads have emerged yet.
Last week, a 15-year-old girl was reportedly abducted on her way to school in the Ghaziabad area.
According to a police spokesperson from the Cantonment division, a case was registered against an unidentified kidnapper on a complaint filed by the victim's father.
Cantonment SP Avais Shafiq stated that the police were trying to trace the victim using CCTV footage and other means of surveillance in the area.
