The Factory Area police have registered a case against a man who committed suicide after shooting his wife. Police handed over the dead body to the heirs.
Police claim the deceased was addicted to drugs and committed suicide after shooting his wife over a domestic dispute.
Ghulam Rasool, a resident of Kamoke Tehsil, Gujranwala District, stated in the police case that 12 years ago, his daughter Asma Rasool, 32, was married to Tariq Majeed, a resident of Firdous Colony, Jhang Road, who had four children.
Tariq Majeed started taking the drug ice four years ago and began torturing my daughter for no reason.
He further stated that on April 18, he brought his daughter Asma Rasool along with the children to Kamoke and filed a claim for the custody of the children in the civil court of Kamoke tehsil.
The court reconciled and he sent his daughter and children back with his son-in-law Tariq Majeed on October 2.
He concluded that "On her last day, my daughter Asma Rasool was talking to her sister Sana Rasool on her mobile phone, while my son-in-law Tariq Majeed shot her and injured her due to a domestic dispute and went to the roof and committed suicide by shooting himself with a pistol".
The police handed over the body to the heirs of the deceased and registered a case under the provisions of 324 TP. Meanwhile, the bodies of two unknown persons have been found from Madina Town and Saddar areas. The police took them into custody and shifted them to the hospital and started searching for the heirs of the deceased.
According to the incident, Tariq informed the police after seeing the dead body of a 40-year-old unknown person near Gulberg Valley area of Madina Town police station. The police took possession of the body of the deceased and shifted it to the hospital and started searching for his heirs.
After seeing the dead body of a 35-year-old man lying near 226 Nahar Malkhanwala in the limits of Saddar Police Station, citizen Ramzan reported to Rescue 15.
