Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the cricket captain who led India to victory in the T20 World Cup, ODI World Cup, and Champions Trophy, has outshone Bollywood legends like Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan in the brand endorsement race for the year 2024.
Although Dhoni retired from international cricket on August 15, 2020, his popularity remains strong, and he continues to make his presence felt during the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he represents Chennai Super Kings.
Under his leadership, CSK has won the IPL title five times, and the franchise retained him for 4 crore Indian Rupee (approximately $481,927 USD) for the upcoming season.
According to a recent report by YAM Media Research, Dhoni secured 42 brand endorsements in the first half of 2024, surpassing Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan by eight endorsements.
This impressive achievement solidifies his status as one of the most influential figures in the endorsement market.
In 2023, Dhoni announced his resignation from the captaincy of Chennai Super Kings, passing on the leadership to Ruturaj Gaikwad, although the team failed to qualify for the playoffs under Gaikwad's captaincy.
