A young twice-married woman was shot dead allegedly by her former brother-in-law outside a private hospital in the Kharadar area of Baghdadi.
City District SSP Arif Aziz identified the victim as 25-year-old Fatima, who had got into a dispute with her first husband's family after contacting a second marriage with a man named Amjad.
According to preliminary information, Fatima's brothers had allegedly killed her first husband over a dispute which had led to the couple's breakup.
A relative of the deceased, identified as Abdul Hafeez, who is a security guard at a private hospital, used to harass her.
On Sunday, Fatima came to the hospital to complain about Hafeez.
As Fatima was leaving the hospital after lodging her complaint, Hafeez called Fatima's former brother-in-law named Arbaaz standing outside and informed her about Fatima's presence.
