The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) NCB Interpol apprehended a fugitive wanted in a robbery case from Saudi Arabia and transferred him to Islamabad Airport.
According to an FIA spokesperson, the suspect, identified as Sanaullah, was wanted by Punjab Police.
A case against him was registered in 2021 under robbery charges at Saddar Jampur Police Station in Rajanpur. The suspect had fled abroad after committing serious offences.
The FIA NCB Interpol had issued a red notice for the suspect’s arrest. After his capture, he was handed over to Punjab Police officials by the FIA Immigration Islamabad.
The successful extradition was made possible due to close coordination between Interpol Islamabad and Interpol Riyadh.

Earlier in Rawalpindi FIA Cyber Crimes Circle arrested a four-member organised gang involved in online sexual harassment and blackmailing.
A comprehensive investigation has been launched against the accused who were harassing and blackmailing minor girls through social media apps and objectionable content.
According to the authorities, Rawalpindi FIA Cyber Crimes Circle has arrested Hammad Kiyani, Talal Mustafa, Muhammad Noman and Hafiz Muhammad Hasnain, who are all members of an organised gang involved in harassing and blackmailing minor girls through social media using modern technology in a raid in Rawalpindi.
Last week the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration on Sunday successfully apprehended a key suspect involved in a human trafficking case at Islamabad Airport, Express News reported on Sunday.
According to an FIA spokesperson, the arrested individual has been identified as Khawar Shehzad, who was allegedly involved in human trafficking and visa fraud. The suspect was detained upon his arrival at Islamabad Airport from Oman, he said.
