Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, has sharply criticised the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and its leader, Imran Khan, accusing the party of promoting chaos and violence.

Speaking at a Christmas cake-cutting ceremony in Lahore, Tarar declared that the PTI's "politics of chaos and violence" had been rejected by the people.

"The founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has no future, as the party has only promoted a culture of unrest and destruction," Tarar stated.

The Minister also used the occasion to extend his heartfelt Christmas wishes to Pakistan’s Christian community, pledging to stand with them in both their joys and sorrows. "The Christian community has played an important role in the establishment of Pakistan," he said.

Reaffirming his commitment to minority rights, Tarar vowed to continue raising his voice against any form of oppression. He also took the opportunity to commend the sacrifices made by Pakistan's armed forces in the fight against terrorism. "We need collective efforts to safeguard and develop the nation," he added.

The ceremony, held at the Bihar Colony church ground, was attended by members of the Christian community, who were also thanked for their contributions to Pakistan’s development.
