FaZe Clan has come under fire from fans after sharing a photo on their official social media account that appeared to show them urinating on the awards they received at The Streamer Awards 2024.
The provocative image, which included all three awards won by the organization and its members, has sparked widespread backlash and accusations of disrespect from the gaming and streaming communities.
The awards in question included Best Content Organization, won by FaZe Clan as a whole, as well as individual honors for members Maxwell "PlaqueBoyMax" and Jason "jasontheween," who won Best Creative Arts Streamer and Best Breakout Streamer, respectively.
Reactions on social media have been intense, with many calling the act "super disrespectful."
One user wrote, "P**sing on an award that the fans voted for and gave you is kinda wild," while another commented, "Is it too late to change my vote or…?"

Some fans suggested that AMP, another nominated group, should have won instead of FaZe Clan.

Amid the controversy, FaZe Clan CEO Richard "Banks" addressed the post, clarifying that it was a staged recreation of a viral photo of Kanye West urinating on a Grammy award as a protest against the music industry.
In a caption mirroring Kanye’s original, Banks wrote, "Trust me … WE WONT STOP."
While some users defended the stunt, claiming the photo was faked with water bottles, the gesture has left many questioning its intent and appropriateness.
The uproar has reignited debates about the role of fan-voted awards and the responsibility of content creators to honor their supporters.
As the controversy continues, FaZe Clan’s actions have polarized the gaming community, with some fans questioning the organization's priorities while others see the move as a bold statement in line with the group's disruptive brand image.
