Justice Farooq Haider of Lahore High Court (LHC) issuing notice sought reply from Inspector General Police (IGP) Punjab in a plea seeking contempt proceedings against Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, IGP and others over not complying with court's orders in a terrorism case.
Petitioner Akmal Khan filed a contempt plea contending that the LHC had ordered on November 22 restrain quarters concerned from harassing him but on the same day he was abducted by the Islampura police and showed his arrest in a case registered against him in Rangmehal police precincts.
