The Young Parliamentarians Forum (YPF) Pakistan and members of the Sindh Assembly have decided to form a Young Parliamentarians Forum in Sindh and play a role in reducing tensions between political parties. This decision was taken on Monday by the YPF, led by Member of National Assembly and YPF President Syeda Nosheen Iftikhar, in a meeting with Speaker Sindh Assembly Syed Owais Qadir Shah and members of the Sindh Assembly.
The meeting decided to lay the foundation for the formal establishment of the young parliamentarians Sindh Chapter, which aims to empower young legislators and promote cooperation on socio-legislative issues. The meeting emphasised the role of young legislators who play a key role in solving national problems.
YPF President Syeda Nosheen Iftikhar stressed on the need to end political divisions and create unity among the youth. She announced that YPF Pakistan will ensure strong cooperation between its federal and provincial chapters to promote nationalism and strengthen democratic values.
President Nosheen Iftikhar and Speaker Syed Owais Qadir Shah highlighted the issue of fake news and misinformation, which has become a major threat to governance and democracy.
The meeting emphasised to jointly address the issue through education, legislation, and awareness campaigns. The meeting also set out a roadmap for cooperation on social challenges, including human rights, women's rights, and youth-related issues. The YPF Pakistan and YPF Sindh chapters pledged to work with the Sindh Assembly to advance legislative efforts to promote equality, inclusion, and opportunity.
