Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) spokesperson Barrister Saif rejected claims made by Information Minister Attaullah Tarar regarding the presence of Murad Saeed at the Islamabad protest. He termed the allegations as "absurd" and "completely false," according to Express News.

Reacting to Tarar’s statement on Sunday, Barrister Saif said, “Tarar is lying completely. His claim about Murad Saeed being present at the Islamabad protest is ridiculous.” He further added, "If Murad Saeed was indeed at the protest and was not arrested, then the incompetence of the authorities should be recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records."

The spokesperson also refuted allegations that Murad Saeed was present anywhere in K-P. “Murad Saeed is not in K-P, and Ata Tarar is lying about this as well,” he added. He accused Tarar of fabricating stories and urged him not to spread baseless lies.

Saif also criticised Tarar for contradicting his previous statements. He recalled that shortly after the tragic incident, Tarar had filmed a video at D-Chowk, claiming that no bullet casings were found at the site. Now, Tarar was alleging that armed groups from the PTI had opened fire during the protest.

“If gunfire did indeed take place, why did you initially claim that no bullet casings were found?” Saif asked, accusing Tarar of covering up the truth with a series of lies.

Furthermore, the K-P government spokesperson questioned Tarar’s narrative regarding the protest, demanding clarification about the blackout during the night and who was responsible for pushing a person praying on the container. "Was the PTI responsible for pushing a person praying on the container?" he asked.

Barrister Saif concluded by stating that public deception through press conferences would not succeed in suppressing the truth. "No matter how much Ata Tarar shouts, the truth cannot be hidden," he said, criticising the tactic of blaming others for actions that were, in his view, self-inflicted.

He drew parallels to the Model Town incident, where innocent PTI workers were allegedly blamed after violent actions.
