Dr. Barrister Saif, the Information Adviser to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) government, expressed full confidence in the leadership of Ali Amin Gandapur, stating that the movement for Imran Khan's release would intensify under his guidance.
He further asserted that the movement, following the tragic incident at D-Chowk, has grown stronger despite attempts by the "fake government" to suppress it through force, Express News reported.
In a statement, Barrister Saif remarked that the so-called government was mistaken if it believed that brutality could weaken the movement.
"The fake government has only harmed itself by resorting to violence. They used oppression to create fear, but in reality, it is they who are afraid," he said.
Saif also emphasised that tyranny is often employed by those who are themselves afraid. He concluded by asserting that the blood of innocent workers would ultimately bring the false government to its rightful end.
Last week, Dr Saif also stated that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is open to negotiations with the government, but only on the condition that Imran Khan is released.
In an interview, Barrister Saif criticised the government for its heavy-handed approach, including the deployment of security forces and the use of containers to block routes leading to the capital, Express News reported.
“We are ready for talks, but only if the release of Imran Khan is part of the deal,” said Barrister Saif. He went on to describe the federal government as a “fake” administration, accusing it of using unlawful methods to suppress PTI’s peaceful demonstration.
