Karachi's weather today remains dry, with an increase in cold expected from next week.
According to the Meteorological Department, the city will experience dry weather today, with temperatures reaching a minimum of 20.4°C in the early morning.
Due to light fog, visibility was limited to 2 kilometers during the morning hours.
The maximum temperature is expected to range between 30°C and 32°C over the next 24 hours, while the minimum temperature will be between 19°C and 21°C.
Moderate northeast winds will blow at speeds of 8 to 15 kilometers per hour today.
Chief Meteorologist of Karachi, Sardar Sarfraz, noted that cold winds from the recent rainfall in Balochistan could affect Karachi, leading to a decrease of 2 to 3°C in both minimum and maximum temperatures by December 5.
Earlier, according to Chief Meteorologist Karachi, Sardar Sarfraz, a western weather system bringing rainfall had entered Balochistan.
This system was expected to cause rain in various districts of Balochistan before moving towards the northern regions of the country.
However, the cold winds trailing this system were likely to impact Karachi, resulting in lower temperatures.
Sarfraz stated that both minimum and maximum temperatures in Karachi were expected to drop by 2 to 3 degrees, with minimum temperatures around 16°C and the maximum reaching 30°C. As a result, cold weather conditions were likely to intensify in the city after December 4.
The Met Department's Early Warning Centre had also issued forecasts for light rain and drizzle in rural Sindh districts, including Qambar Shahdadkot, Jacobabad, Larkana, and Shikarpur, due to the influence of the western weather system on today.
