OnlyFans model pregnant with stepbrother's baby opens up about controversial relationship

A former star of Neighbors, pregnant with her stepbrother's child, has responded to backlash surrounding their controversial relationship.  

Scarlet Vas, who briefly appeared on the soap opera before leaving in 2018, has spoken out about her marriage to musician Tayo Ricci.  

The couple first met as teenagers in Melbourne and later became stepsiblings when their parents got together. Despite their new family connection, Vas and Ricci fell in love and married in Mykonos, Greece, in September of the previous year.  

Now expecting their first child, a daughter, the couple is excited but has faced criticism from some people online regarding their relationship.  

Despite the negative comments, Vas explained that the criticism does not bother them.  

“Honestly, it doesn’t affect us because we have each other,” she told news.com.au.  

“I don’t really read our comments section, but if I do, I actually laugh. We find trolls very entertaining.”  

“If something’s really negative, we might comment back, we find it is quite a good disarming tactic.”  

The couple gained attention in 2021 when they went viral after revealing their relationship in a video titled, “I fell in love with my bf’s best friend… who happens to be my step bro”.  

Although Vas insists the video, which shows them being dared to kiss in front of Ricci's former best friend, was just a "skit," she emphasized that their relationship is genuine.  

“We’ve been together for 10 years and have just moved back to Australia after living in the US for the last five of those,” she explained.  

“We were about 13 years old when we first met through mutual friends, our families knew each other and they introduced us I guess you could say. So we’ve known each other for a very long time.”  

A stepfamily is created when two people with children from previous relationships come together to form a new family unit.  

Vas made it clear that she and Ricci are not biologically related, but she added that they prefer to keep their family details private as a sign of respect for their parents.  

Whenever asked about their stepsibling status, the couple refers people to the song Strawberry on Ice, written by Ricci about their love story, which he performed for her at their wedding.
