Ben Affleck was in good spirits this Thanksgiving, spending time with his first ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, rather than his most recent ex, Jennifer Lopez.

The 52-year-old actor was seen enjoying the holiday with Garner, 52, as they volunteered together at the Midnight Mission in downtown Los Angeles. The couple, who shares three children—Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12—came together to help serve Thanksgiving brunch to 2,000 homeless people at the non-profit’s annual event.

Affleck appeared relaxed with Garner, and in photos obtained by The Post, he was even seen whispering in her ear. The ex-couple wore matching aprons as they interacted with fellow volunteers.

Affleck and Garner's children also participated in the charity event with their parents.

This was Affleck’s first Thanksgiving since Lopez filed for divorce in August, on the second anniversary of their second wedding ceremony.

Meanwhile, Jennifer Lopez was also seen out during the holiday season after the split. The “Let’s Get Loud” singer attended a pre-Thanksgiving brunch with her friends on Wednesday, appearing solo.

Sources revealed that Affleck was taking a break from his filming schedule to spend Thanksgiving with his children, which also meant reconnecting with Garner.

“He’s very happy with life. He enjoys working. He’ll spend Thanksgiving with his kids,” an insider shared with People this week.

Affleck and Garner married in 2005, following his separation from Lopez. They split in June 2015 after 10 years of marriage, but their divorce wasn’t finalized until April 2017.

Affleck and Lopez revived their relationship in April 2021, nearly two decades after they had postponed their original 2003 wedding.

“Due to the excessive media attention surrounding our wedding, we have decided to postpone the date,” they said in a joint statement at the time.

“When we found ourselves seriously contemplating hiring three separate ‘decoy brides’ at three different locations, we realized that something was awry.”

They added: “We felt what should have been a joyful and sacred day could be spoiled for us, our families, and our friends.”
