ISLAMABAD:

A constitutional bench of the Supreme Court has refused to take suo motu notice of reports of killings in the PTI protest march in the federal capital.

The five-member constitutional bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Justice Aminuddin Khan, was hearing miscellaneous petitions.

Meanwhile, advocate general for K-P, who was present in the hearing through video link, pleaded before the court to take suo motu notice of the use of force and killings during the PTI protest.

The court however rejected the plea observing that the matter is not before the court. Justice Musarrat Hilali admonished the K-P advocate general for attempting to drag the court in political affairs.
