Pakistan advocates multilateral climate diplomacy

ISLAMABAD:

PM's Coordinator Romina Khurshid Alam has congratulated the president of COP29 and Azerbaijan team on the successful adoption of the Baku Climate Unity Pact.

Addressing the closing plenary of COP29, she said that Pakistan hoped for more decisive and clearer decisions in COP30 next year where vulnerable developing countries would be given their due share, according to a report.

Alam said that multilateralism remained the cornerstone of Pakistan's climate diplomacy as it urged all parties to uphold its spirit and return to the negotiating table with renewed commitment to address these outstanding critical issues comprehensively and equitably.
