Fans warn Lil Wayne over Kendrick Lamar GNX diss controversy:'Beef has never been your strong suit'

Wayne faces backlash for his response to Kendrick’s diss as fans weigh in on the brewing tension.

Lil Wayne has found himself in a heated controversy after Kendrick Lamar’s GNX album, released on November 22, appeared to take direct shots at the New Orleans rapper. 

In the track Wacced Out Murals, Kendrick raps, “I used to bump Tha Carter III, the irony I think my hard work let Lil Wayne down… Got the Super Bowl and Nas the only one congratulate me, all these ni*ga agitated I’m just glad it’s on they faces.” 

Fans interpreted this as a response to Wayne’s earlier comments about not being selected for the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show in his hometown.

Back in September, Wayne had expressed his disappointment in an Instagram post, saying, “That hurt... You know what I’m talking about... I blame myself for not being mentally prepared for a let-down… I feel like I let all of y’all down by not getting that opportunity.”

Adding fuel to the fire, Wayne recently posted a cryptic message on X: “Man wtf I do?! I just be chillin & dey still kome 4 my head. Let’s not take kindness for weakness. Let this giant sleep. I beg u all. No one really wants destruction, not even me but I shall destroy if disturbed. On me. Love…”

Fans quickly took to X, warning Wayne against escalating the situation. One user wrote, “With all due respect, Wayne, you’re gifted at many things, but beef has never been your strong suit in rap.”

Meanwhile, others defended Wayne, urging him to focus on his legacy and not engage in a feud with Lamar. “Ignore Kendrick idolo,” one user suggested, while another added, “Ignore him my idol, you’re bigger than him.”

Kendrick’s GNX album, which features introspective tracks and sharp commentary on the industry, includes the line, “Won the Super Bowl and Nas the only one congratulate me/ All these (expletive) agitated/ I’m just glad it’s on their faces.” 

While tensions rise, neither Kendrick Lamar nor Lil Wayne has commented further, leaving fans to speculate on the next chapter of this unfolding rap feud.
