EU decision looms on Pakistan airlines
The European aviation authority is likely to unveil on December 6 its decision on a request by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to allow Pakistani airlines to operate in the EU.
The European Commission chaired a three-day meeting of the European Air Safety Committee in Brussels from November 19 to 21. The meeting included deliberations on the PIA's Third Country Authorization permit.
The committee also reviewed the safety oversight measures implemented by the CAA. EASA briefed the meeting on the report submitted by the CAA.
Sources said the European Air Safety Committee will announce its decision on December 6.
