Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have reportedly left the United States and relocated to the UK following Donald Trump’s presidential election win.

According to The Wrap, the decision to move was primarily motivated by the political climate, with sources close to the former talk show host stating that the couple has no plans to return to the U.S.

The report claims that their new residence is in the Cotswolds, a scenic region in England, which they purchased in 2019. The couple’s Montecito, California mansion may soon be listed for sale, possibly as a pocket listing. Beyond the political factors, the move also reflects their desire for a fresh start following Ellen's workplace toxicity controversy.

While the couple has not officially commented on the relocation, the report has reignited conversations about Ellen’s past controversies and the celebrity support she received during that time.
