HYDERABAD:

Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party (STP) on Tuesday announced that it has postponed its protest at Karachi's Fawara Chowk on November 24 because the date and place was coinciding with Pakistan Te3hreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest on the same day.

"The 24th protest is a matter of life and death for PTI and we do not want a needless clash between political workers," said STP Chairman Dr Qadir Magsi chairing a meeting to review the ongoing protest movement against the project to build six canals on the Indus River.

"STP protest in Karachi will now be held on December 8," he said adding that protests in other cities of Sindh will be held per schedule on November 24. The meeting expressed satisfaction over the preparations for the sit-in on the Skarand Bypass on November 20. Moreover, protests will be held in Mithi on Nov 27, Umerkot on Nov 28 and Sanghar on Nov 29.
