Billy Boondocks, a well-known battle rapper from Los Angeles, California, has tragically passed away due to asthma. 

The news was announced by his mother on Tuesday, who shared a heartfelt message on Facebook: “My son is gone... Asthma has took his life and I watched this happen step by step but they did their best. Yes, Billy Boondocks is in Heaven.”

Boondocks, known for his dynamic performances and significant presence in the battle rap community, participated in 38 cataloged battles, garnering over 1.4 million views. His vibrant personality and impactful performances earned him a dedicated following, making him a notable figure in the battle rap world.

Despite his successes, Billy Boondocks’ career was marked by controversies. In 2015, he was involved in a physical altercation with fellow rapper Dizaster during a King of the Dot event, a moment that drew significant attention. He also survived being shot at a battle rap event, later reflecting on the incident as a testament to his resilience.
