Razaabad police arrested a man on the suspicion of murder. Police said that 32-year-old security guard Muhammad Faheem, a resident of Hammad Town, was sitting along with his friend Shan Ali Bhatti in a room when the incident took place.
They had an altercation which enraged Shan who picked the rifle of his friend Faheem and shot him dead.
The police arrested the accused and dispatched the body to a mortuary for postmortem.
An investigation is under way, local police officials added.
