Twitch superstar Kai Cenat, who is currently hosting his record-breaking Mafiathon 2 subathon, added yet another viral moment to his live stream by hosting a full-fledged funeral for his late pet hamster, Lil Cenat.

The elaborate ceremony, held in the streaming mansion, comes as Cenat continues to break records with over 439,000 subscribers, making him the most subscribed Twitch streamer in history.

Lil Cenat, the beloved hamster, passed away in January 2024. During a stream earlier this year, Cenat expressed his grief, saying, “RIP Lil Cenat, bro. Everybody put out a 'LLLC' real quick—'Long Live Lil Cenat.' Rest in peace to the realist ni**a. Bro, she survived, she hopped on a plane and went to the subathon in Cali. She really did that sh*t.”

Despite the affection, Cenat admitted in his latest stream, “I ain't gonna lie, Lil Cenat was cool, but when she passed away, I’m not going to lie, it was a relief. I didn’t have to take care of her anymore. I should’ve got a dog or cat.”

The funeral, although realistic in its setup with a preacher and attendees, was clearly staged for entertainment. During the event, Cenat and former NBA player Andre Iguodala headed downstairs to join the ceremony, further adding to the comedic tone of the event.

Interestingly, Lil Cenat’s legacy extended beyond the funeral, as fans noted that the hamster had inspired a cryptocurrency named $LILC, valued at over $500,000.

Cenat’s ability to turn personal moments into viral sensations has kept his subathon at the top of Twitch, breaking the previous subscriber record held by VTuber Ironmouse, who peaked at 326,000 subscribers.
