Karachi killings case: Suo motu hearing to resume today

SC will resume the hearing of the suo motu case about the target killings in Karachi on Tuesday

KARACHI: The Supreme Court will resume the hearing of the suo motu case about the target killings in Karachi on Tuesday in Courtroom No.1 at branch registry, Karachi.

A five-member special bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry will hear the case.

Entry into the courtroom will be regulated by the use of passes, said Supreme Court Branch Registry Deputy Registrar, Karachi, Zubair Sabir.

The passes will be issued to the petitioners, respondents and their counsel appearing in the court. The entry of journalists, who regularly cover the Supreme Court proceedings, will also be checked using these passes.

As for other people, passes will be issued to all subject to anyone interested in watching the proceedings based on seating capacity.

Cell phones are not allowed and people will be searched before they can enter.
