Heavyweight champion Jon Jones showcased his best Donald Trump impression after decisively defeating Stipe Miocic in the UFC 309 main event.
'Bones' successfully defended his heavyweight title for the first time, having won it last year at UFC 285 with a victory over Ciryl Gane. Originally scheduled to face Miocic last November, Jones had to pull out due to a torn pectoral tendon sustained during training.

For Miocic, this marked his return to the octagon after a three-year hiatus, following a devastating knockout loss to Francis Ngannou. Despite Jones' time away from competition, he delivered a vintage performance in New York on Saturday night. The opening round saw the former light-heavyweight champion take control early, mixing in a variety of kicks aimed at the head and body.
Midway through the fight, Jones managed to take Miocic down and delivered a series of punishing elbows to his temple. Coming into the fight lighter than he did against Gane, Jones gained a clear speed advantage, which played a key role in his dominance.
Miocic struggled in the second round, appearing sluggish and failing to land any significant strikes. Meanwhile, Jones maintained pressure with precise jabs and body kicks. In the third round, a brutal liver kick from Jones dropped a fatigued Miocic, and 'Bones' sealed his victory in style.
