Gold prices saw a significant dip in both international and local markets on Saturday, after recording an increase a day earlier.
The international price of gold per ounce decreased by $3, bringing it to $2,562.
The price of 24-carat gold in local markets also declined by Rs 300, bringing the price of one tola (11.66 grams) down to Rs 267,400.
The price of 10 grams of gold also decreased by Rs 258, settling at Rs 229,252.
On the other hand, silver prices remained stable, with one tola of silver priced at Rs 3,250 and the price for 10 grams of silver remaining at Rs 2,786, unchanged from previous rates.
Yesterday, gold prices saw a significant increase both in the global and local markets.
In the international bullion market, the price of gold per ounce rose by $13, reaching $2,565.
The price of gold per tola increased by Rs1,300, reaching Rs267,700, while the price per 10 grams rose by Rs1,115, reaching Rs229,510.
Traders noted that the global rise in gold prices contributed to the upward trend in the domestic market.
