SZA, known for her soulful music and candid personality, recently opened up about regretting her decision to undergo a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL). In an interview with British Vogue published on November 14, 2024, the 35-year-old artist described the cosmetic procedure as a mistake.
“I’m so mad I did that s—,” SZA shared. “I gained all this weight from being immobile while recovering and trying to preserve the fat. It was just so stupid.”
Despite her regrets, the “Kill Bill” singer acknowledged the experience as a learning opportunity. “This body is temporary,” she said. “It wasn’t super necessary, but who gives a f—? You live and learn.”
SZA’s openness about her cosmetic surgeries isn’t new. In 2023, she admitted to getting a BBL, explaining that she did it for personal satisfaction rather than industry pressure. “I always wanted a really fat ass with less gym time,” she revealed to Elle magazine.
The singer has also addressed her struggles with breast implants, citing health risks due to a family history of breast cancer. In March 2024, SZA told the “SHE MD” podcast that she initially ignored medical advice, but eventually had the implants removed due to painful complications.
As she continues her journey, SZA’s transparency about body image and self-acceptance has resonated with fans, offering valuable insights into the realities of cosmetic surgery.
