Whoopi Goldberg celebrated her 69th birthday on "The View" Wednesday, and the festivities took an amusing turn as she promoted some of her favorite items.

As co-host Sara Haines approached a large wheel of cheese featuring Goldberg's face, Goldberg remarked that she'd “always wanted” her face on a cheese wheel.

Then, Goldberg made a light-hearted admission, “I like to be eaten from time to time,” which was later shared in a clip on X.

Haines reacted with wide eyes and playfully walked off the set in response to Goldberg’s cheeky comment.

The audience burst into laughter and applause in response to Goldberg’s humorous admission.

Goldberg looked surprised, playing along, as Haines returned to the set and hugged her.

“Nevermind!” Goldberg joked, waving off her previous remark.

The TV host continued to laugh while discussing the cheese on display.

She described the cheese, saying it was “a wheel of authentic Parmigiano Reggiano from Italy… aged for 24 months… a testament to Italian tradition and quality.”

Goldberg then invited viewers to enter for a chance to win a similar cheese wheel, prompting Haines to chime in with, “and eat Whoopi Goldberg!”

Goldberg continued with the joke, replying, “That’s right! No – and eat yourself!”

She also suggested that audience members could make custom cheese wheels with their own faces on them.

Later in the episode, Joy Behar surprised Goldberg with a serving of her famous lasagna in celebration.

“Joy makes the greatest lasagna ever, and you know you’ve heard us talk about it,” Goldberg remarked in a clip shared on the show’s Instagram.

Behar is known for making her lasagna each year for Goldberg’s birthday.

“And now everyone else wants it made for their birthday!” Goldberg added.
