Internet personality Hailey Welch, known as Hawk Tuah girl, introduced her boyfriend on her Talk Tuah podcast after months of speculation surrounding her love life and the mystery man called "Pookie."
In the Tuesday, November 12 episode, Welch revealed that her boyfriend, Pookie, is actually named Kelby Blackwell.
Rumors about Welch’s relationship and the mention of "Pookie" began in June 2024 when she shouted his name during a viral TikTok interview. In the video, she can be heard saying:
"I love you, Pookie! Forever!"
Since then, the internet star has shared a few hints about her relationship while keeping her mystery man’s identity hidden. When Logan Paul asked her who Pookie was during her July 2024 appearance on *BS with Jake Paul*, Welch didn’t disclose his identity but did mention that he has black hair and "the longest eyelashes you'd ever seen." At that time, Welch referred to their relationship as a "situationship," saying they weren’t officially together.
However, in the October 16 episode of her Talk Tuah podcast, Welch confirmed that she and Pookie are now a couple, stating: "Pookie's officially my man."
She also shared that although they recently made things official, they have known each other for three years.
As noted, Hailey Welch’s boyfriend Pookie’s real name is Kelby Blackwell. He joined Welch in the recent podcast episode to discuss their relationship further. Blackwell, a plumber, shared that he prefers his small-town lifestyle over the high-profile life his girlfriend now leads after her viral video.
The couple explained that Blackwell had been in a two-year relationship before they began "hooking up" months after his previous relationship ended. They shared that this happened sometime in 2023, but they weren't official at that time. Blackwell mentioned on the podcast that he was still "working on himself" when he met Welch, which contributed to the delay in making their relationship official.
