The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pavilion, organised by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority as part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Folk Festival of Pakistan (Lok Mela), has become a major attraction for both domestic and international tourists.

The 10-day event, hosted by the National Heritage and Culture Division in Islamabad, features stalls from across Pakistan, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Sindh, Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

Within the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pavilion, 30 stalls are showcasing the rich cultural heritage and craftsmanship of over 50 artisans from various districts, including Abbottabad, DI Khan, Charsadda, Haripur, Mardan, Peshawar, Chitral, Mansehra and Swat. These stalls display a variety of handicrafts such as pottery, Mughal art, woodwork, stone and glass carving, Hazara Phulkari, Swati shawls, truck art and calligraphy.

Traditional K-P cuisine is also a major highlight of the pavilion, with visitors enjoying delicacies such as Subat (Painda), Chapli Kebab, Tikka Boti, Chicken Boti, Mutton Karai, and Charsadda Rice. Additionally, the pavilion features the famous Qisa Khwani Bazaar and Kehwa Khana, where guests can sip on traditional Kehwa while learning about the region's history.

The pavilion also offers a special Kailash Pavilion, organised by the Kailash Development Authority, where visitors can experience performances of the traditional Kailash dance and explore items representing Kailash culture.
