Unidentified persons slaughtered a primary school teacher (PST) of a local government primary school in Swabi district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday.
Police told The Express Tribune that the victim was slaughtered like an animal after torture.
Complainant Faqir Sher, a resident of Khunda, while lodging an FIR in Lahore police station, stated that his 30-year-old son Hassan Faraz, who was a PST teacher in Government Primary School No. 1 Khunda and single, had left his home in Shagai neighborhood around 7 pm the previous evening.
Later, Hassan called home himself to inform his parents that he would be late and they should have dinner without him.
When he didn't returned by 9 pm, his family tried to contact him on his mobile phone, but it was permanently switched off. With no information about his whereabouts, they initiated a search for him.
They then received information that Hassan Faraz's body had been found in the corn fields in Khunda Meera. On reaching the scene, they found him murdered.
Unidentified individuals had first attacked him with a spade, subjected him to torture and then killed him by slitting his throat with a sharp object.
