The five-year-old girl, who was abducted from the Fauji Colony in Rawalpindi on Thursday, has been located in Lahore. The alleged kidnapper took the girl there, and her whereabouts came to light after CCTV footage of the abduction went viral on social, alerting family members and police.

The girl was abducted under mysterious circumstances from Fauji Colony in the limits of Pirwudhai police station on Thursday evening.

A police team has left for Lahore to bring both the girl and the suspect back to Rawalpindi.

Yaqoob Khan registered the case at the Pirwudahi police station, saying the girl went to a local shop to buy something on Thursday evening. The family got worried when she didn't return. They started a search, but they failed to find her until late at night.

The CCTV footage of the abduction shows an unknown man in traditional attire leading the child while attempting to obscure her face.
