In a dramatic turn of events during the third ODI between West Indies and England in Bridgetown, West Indies pacer Alzarri Joseph left the field abruptly after a tense disagreement with captain Shai Hope regarding field placement.

After winning the toss and opting to bowl, West Indies had England at 9-1 early in the powerplay, thanks to a breakthrough from Matthew Forde.

However, Joseph’s frustrations surfaced when he stepped up to bowl his first over. Following his opening delivery to Jordan Cox, Joseph was visibly agitated, gesturing toward the fielders and exchanging words with Hope.

Despite his discontent, Joseph continued to bowl, soon claiming Cox's wicket with a fiery 90mph delivery that took a faint edge to Hope behind the stumps.

Even with the wicket, Joseph’s frustration remained evident. West Indies coach Daren Sammy was seen signaling from the boundary, seemingly urging the pacer to maintain his composure. Yet, after completing the over, Joseph stormed off to the dressing room, leaving the team a man short.

Substitute Hayden Walsh Jr. prepared to step in, but Joseph returned shortly afterward, taking a brief seat in the dugout before rejoining the field.

Joseph did not resume bowling duties upon his return, with Romario Shepherd taking his place in the attack.
