Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum, the cultural phenomenon that swept the nation and sizeable parts of the world for the past few months, has finally marked its end. The drama serial aired its mega last episode on November 5. The nearly hour-long finale saw the decisive conclusion of different plotlines and character arcs.

Despite the much-awaited ending finally bringing the show to a close, the internet has observed a whirlwind of emotional reactions from dedicated fans of the serial. "You made me cry, Fahad Mustafa. Every character of his is awesome," a YouTube user wrote in the comments section of the final episode. Another user praised Farhat Ishtiaq's affinity for writing soul-stirring characters that haven't disappointed over the course of the drama.

Even Indian fans flooded the comments section with wholehearted plaudits. "As an Indian, I have been watching Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum from the very first episode, and I must say - what an incredible journey it has been! The overall storyline, direction, and cinematography have been outstanding. The way every scene is crafted shows a lot of thought and passion," said one user.

The same fan continued, "Despite the differences between our countries, it's amazing how art, stories, and characters can bring us closer. Thank you to the entire team for creating such a powerful and touching series - one that crosses borders and resonates with audiences like me. Wishing all the cast and crew great success in their future projects! Love from India. Keep up the great work."

A committed fan even reiterated important takeaways from the series as a whole, including the potential of a neglected child's capabilities, strength of character during tough situations, and the significant impact of trust and support on a marital relationship. All of these are foundational themes that the series builds upon.

The cast bids farewell

The premiere at Nueplex Cinemas saw a heartwarming reunion for the cast members. Although Hania Aamir and Naeema Butt's absence was deeply felt, an Instagram-shared video of Fahad Mustafa and Emmad Irfani embracing each other in defiance of the on-screen brotherly animosity was enough to ease the hearts of fans. "Thank you Kabhi Main Kabhi Tum for giving me a ride and high of a lifetime," Emmad wrote.

The beloved Mustafa's portrayer took to Instagram as well to offer his extended gratitude to followers, fans, and crew. "Bringing Mustafa to life has been one of the most fulfilling, challenging, and rewarding things I've ever done. And knowing that you connected with the story, with the character, and with the journey we've all been on together, makes everything worth it. Your energy, your enthusiasm, your love - it's what kept me going through the highs and lows. I'm honestly speechless," Fahad wrote.

"As the final episode airs and this chapter ends, I want you all to know that I'll carry every moment, every laugh, and every lesson with me. You've all become such an important part of my life," he added, promising that this isn't him saying goodbye rather hoping for a "see you soon".

Even Sharjeena's actor Hania had a behind-the-scenes thread and words of her own to share on Instagram. After thanking those who brought the project to fruition, she wrote, "Everyone who watched, appreciated, and binged our work, I love you! The time you took out to make content for us, thank you! Thank you for sticking by us through so many weeks! Your love is everything to me."

Unable to get enough of the bittersweet emotions associated with the end of this journey, Hania uploaded a still from the finale and wrote, "This will forever have a really special place in my heart. Thank you for being on this journey with us. We will miss you. Yours truly, Mustafa and Sharjeena."

Earlier, Naeema shared a video in honour of her character Rubab upon the release of the penultimate episode, offering some crucial reminders to those who fall prey to cheating at the hands of their spouses. "Let's go because we have to," she reminded. "Love you all, and thank you for your love. It means a lot."

Surge in celebrity reactions

The commemoration didn't end there, as various celebrity peers were prompt in offering their heartiest congratulations to the involved actors and crew. Mahira Khan congratulated both Fahad and Hania under their posts.

Another was Yumna Zaidi, who lauded Hania in a sweet comment. "Congratulations on winning hearts everywhere. Congratulations to you and the whole team," Yumna wrote.

Sonya Hussaiyn, who was in attendance at the packed premiere, also shared her views with a photo uploaded to Instagram Stories. "Beautiful ending," she wrote. In a separate video reshared on her Stories, she verbally expressed, "It was really good. The drama was amazing."

With the praise-decked serial finally earning its anticipated denouement, it is sure to fall under the category of most memorable shows in the history of Pakistani television.
