RAWALPINDI:

Armed men intercepted a citizen returning from abroad and got away with his cash, three high-value mobile phones and a bag filled with personal belongings near Motorway M1.

The incident occurred as Muddassir Zareem, a resident of Swabi, was driving his friend Sadeeq Ahmed back from New Islamabad International Airport.

Ahmed had just arrived from Oman to spend his vacation in Pakistan. Zareem, accompanied by another friend, Ateeq Ahmed, stopped near Burhan Interchange, after hearing a loud sound from their vehicle.

As they exited to inspect, three armed men approached, surrounded them, and robbed over Rs200,000 in cash, three expensive phones, and a bag filled with valuables before fleeing.
