As the holiday season kicks off, Google has introduced a festive feature for Mariah Carey fans. Typing "Mariah Carey" into Google Search now triggers an animated snowflake display on both desktop and mobile, celebrating the singer's iconic holiday anthem, 'All I Want for Christmas is You.' This playful addition marks the start of the season, with users able to spot snowflakes cascading across the screen in tribute to Carey’s timeless Christmas hit.

While this feature isn’t new—Google first introduced it last year—its return on November 1 reflects Carey's official holiday debut, commemorated with a new Santa-inspired video. Known as the queen of Christmas tunes, Carey’s beloved song continues to generate millions in royalties annually, securing her place as a holiday mainstay. Since its 1994 release, 'All I Want for Christmas is You' has reportedly earned over $60 million in royalties, according to The Economist.
If the snowflake animation doesn’t appear automatically, users can activate it by scrolling down to a teal button with a snowflake icon. Fans of Mariah Carey and Christmas alike are delighted by the tech giant’s nod to the season, adding cheer and nostalgia to every search.
