NCT’s Jaehyun will soon begin his mandatory military service, enlisting as an active-duty soldier on November 4, according to his agency, SM Entertainment. In preparation, the K-pop idol posted photos of himself with a buzzcut on Instagram, sharing a heartfelt message with fans. “Reminiscing the memories we shared, excited for the journey together,” Jaehyun captioned the post, marking his final interaction with fans before enlisting.

SM Entertainment confirmed that Jaehyun applied to join the Army Band and was accepted by the Military Manpower Administration. His agency also announced that no formal event would be held on enlistment day to ensure safety and reduce congestion at the training center, where other recruits and their families will be present.

Jaehyun’s enlistment follows NCT member Taeyong’s entry into military service earlier this year. Known for his role in the group NCT 127, Jaehyun has been a vital part of the group’s music and performances. NCT 127 includes Taeyong, Johnny, Doyoung, Mark, Haechan, Jungwoo, and WinWin, and the group has achieved significant popularity with hits like Simon Says, Kick It, and Cherry Bomb, which brought them international fame.

Before his enlistment, Jaehyun released the solo single Unconditional Love in October and debuted his album J in August 2024. He will also feature in the upcoming film You Will Die After Six Hours and the 2025 drama I Believe You, adding to his artistic contributions before his two-year service. NCT, with its unique concept of unlimited members divided into various sub-units, remains one of K-pop's most versatile and widely recognized groups.
