Charlamagne Tha God warns Diddy’s sons after Ray J clash: 'You gon’ end up in jail with your pops'
Following an alleged confrontation between Diddy’s sons—Quincy, Christian, and Justin—and singer Ray J, media personality Charlamagne Tha God has weighed in, cautioning them to avoid unnecessary drama that could have serious consequences.
During an October 29 episode of 'The Breakfast Club' podcast, Charlamagne addressed the situation, saying, “Diddy’s kids need to sit their a*ses down somewhere, okay? Don’t get spanked trying to prove a point that you don’t have to prove. You gon’ end up in jail with your pops or someplace worse.”
The altercation reportedly took place after a Halloween party in Los Angeles, where the Combs brothers allegedly confronted Ray J over remarks he made regarding Diddy’s recent legal battles.
Ray J allegedly tried to “talk some sense” into the brothers, who seemed ready for a physical confrontation.
Charlamagne, expressing concern over the heated exchange, added, “Whatever them Combs kids are on, they better get off of it. I know you’re upset and frustrated because of what your daddy is going through, but you better stop projecting before you get hurt.”
The incident, which gained attention on social media, saw other celebrities, including Chris Brown, intervening to de-escalate the situation.
DJ Envy, Charlamagne’s co-host, attempted to explain the Combs brothers’ response, suggesting they viewed Ray J as a family friend, adding complexity to their reaction.
However, Charlamagne stood firm, warning, “Stop projecting before you get hurt. GloRilla said she just drove by the cemetery, and it's plenty room… so I know they got room for silly dudes trying to prove a point!”
Ray J has publicly spoken about his strained relationship with Diddy in recent months, particularly after controversial footage emerged involving Diddy’s alleged past actions.
On the 'Club Shay Shay' podcast with Shannon Sharpe, Ray J stated that while he believes “everyone messes up,” he doesn’t condone Diddy’s behavior, emphasizing, “It’s unforgivable… Never being able to be around us and our world 'cause we don’t condone that is definitely a fact.” Ray J even referenced the need for a “public whipping” for Diddy.
Neither Diddy nor his sons have commented publicly on the altercation, but Charlamagne’s remarks are a call to action for the Combs family to reconsider their choices as they navigate this turbulent period.
