Two housemaids, employed at a house within the limits of Airport police station, were found involved in the house theft on Wednesday.
The police arrested the employees, the husband and the wife. According to the police, a burglary took place in the house in the absence of the owners, residing in the Airport police station area, where apparently unknown thieves stole jewellery and other valuables worth millions of rupees from the house.
The case of the incident was registered at the Airport police station. During the investigation, the police questioned the couple working in the house over suspicion and the details of the case were unravelled.
