The PTI has announced holding a rally in Peshawar on November 8 as part of its campaign to force the authorities to release former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan from jail. The PTI rules the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) province.
On Monday, K-P Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur directed all workers to prepare for the upcoming rally at the neighborhood and village council levels at a meeting of PTI parliamentarians and workers held at the Chief Minister House in Peshawar.
The meeting was called to review arrangements for the rally. Addressing the participants, the CM said that the Peshawar rally will be a historic event.
During the meeting, it was decided to hold the rally after the Tablighi Jamaat's gathering. The rally will take place at 2:00 pm on November 8 on Ring Road, in front of Sarhad University.
CM Gandapur stated that the movement for the release of Imran Khan will not stop.
"There are challenges, but we must face them. Workers from the K-P have made sacrificeswhether in the Liaquat Bagh protest, the Sanjani protest, or at D-Chowk, they have always led from the front. We are proud of our workers," he added.
