RAWALPINDI:

The administrations of the Rawalpindi and Murree districts have prepared a snowfall season protection plan for 2024-25 to implement from November 1. The snowfall season has been declared from November 1 to February 28.

The Rawalpindi Commissioner formally approved the Murree Snowfall Safety Measures Plan. An amount of Rs59.3 million has been sought on an emergency basis to deal with the snow season.

About 100 civil defence paid volunteers have been called on an emergency basis for four months. They will be equipped with full kits life jackets, raincoats, rain shoes, umbrellas, and flashlights to immediately assist tourists.
