FDA reviewing complaints about Lunchly product following mold concerns

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is investigating multiple consumer complaints regarding Lunchly,

The pre-packaged meal product backed by internet stars Logan Paul, KSI, and MrBeast. Following reports of moldy ingredients, particularly in the pizza variant, the FDA confirmed to TMZ Sports that it has received over ten complaints. One consumer’s complaint also alleged an illness potentially linked to consuming the Lunchly product.

The FDA stated it is currently assessing all submissions and may issue an advisory if public health risks are confirmed. “All food producers are required to follow Current Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure product safety,” an FDA representative noted, adding that if Lunchly is found to have violated these standards, “appropriate action will be taken.”

Influencer Rosanna Pansino publicly highlighted the issue during a product review, showing visible mold on the cheese topping of a Lunchly pizza. The company defended its safety protocols in response to the claims, with a representative stating, “All Lunchly products go through a stringent review process to ensure the quality and safety of its products. That process consists of multiple inspections and approvals, including that of the USDA, before any product can even leave the manufacturing facility.”

Despite the backlash, Paul and KSI dismissed the controversy in a lighthearted segment on the “Impaulsive” podcast, attributing the claims to internet clicks and sensationalism. The FDA has indicated that further updates on the review will be shared if necessary to protect consumers.
