Jamie Foxx recently spoke about speculation over whether Sean “Diddy” Combs had any involvement in his unexpected hospitalization last year.

Three audience members who attended tapings of Foxx's upcoming Netflix special, What Had Happened Was, reported that he discussed rumors linking Combs to his hospitalization, although they had differing recollections of his remarks.

Earlier this month, Choke No Joke—a videographer, producer, and director—told Comedy Hype that he attended two out of Foxx’s three shows, which took place on Oct. 4, 5, and 6 at Atlanta's Alliance Theatre.

On Oct. 7, Comedy Hype released a YouTube video in which Choke said, “Jamie has a special coming out on Netflix called ‘What Had Happened Was,’ and I went to the taping of it. It was three days taping. I went to the first show; I went to the last show.”

Choke claimed that during the tapings, Foxx stated that “Diddy was responsible for what happened to him, and [Foxx] is the one who called the FBI on [Combs].” However, it remains uncertain if these comments will appear in the final version of the special.

When asked if the alleged statements were intended as a “joke,” Choke replied, “I don’t think he was joking.”

“Y’all can determine was he joking or not when you see the show, ’cause to me — I’m a new comedian, right? … I know when somebody’s setting up a punchline, and I know when you’re serious,” Choke continued, emphasizing that he didn’t want to “give away [Foxx’s] jokes.”

Page Six has not independently verified whether Foxx's comments were made seriously or in jest.

“After [Foxx] said, ‘Diddy did something to me,’ he said, ‘And I’m the one who called the feds on him,’” Choke reiterated, suggesting that Foxx might have done so out of fear.

“He disappeared, right? He out now, soon as Puff went to jail, right? We see him at the game with [Dallas Cowboys owner] Jerry Jones, right? … We haven’t seen him. As soon as Puff went to jail, [Foxx] was at the goddamn Dallas football game, right? And now he just went and shot his special. And who’s the special strongly based around? Diddy,” Choke claimed.

Choke also speculated that Foxx and Combs were once “bros” until their friendship allegedly soured.

In response to Page Six's inquiry, Choke expressed surprise at hearing Foxx allegedly voice the claims openly, as these rumors had circulated among industry insiders.

He mentioned that attendees’ phones were confiscated before the shows, but as soon as he retrieved his, he snapped a selfie with Foxx.

Separately, celebrity security guard Big Homie.CC stated in a recent Cam Capone News interview, “I know [Combs] poisoned Jamie Foxx, and Jamie Foxx reported him to the FBI because of it. … Jamie Foxx reported this man to the FBI because of this.”
