Her portrayal in the critically acclaimed biographical drama Neerja earned her widespread recognition as a versatile actress.

Currently married to businessman Anand Ahuja, Kapoor is making her return to the screen after a break following the birth of her first child.

Her influence in the fashion world was recently underscored when she made a notable appearance at Dior’s ready-to-wear show during Paris Fashion Week, contributing $2.7 million in media impact value toward the brand’s $82.7 million total.

Speaking about her new role, Sonam said, "It’s a huge honour to be part of Dior’s journey as they redefine creativity and elegance in fashion. Their collections truly resonate with me, and I’m excited about what this partnership will bring."

Dior has further strengthened its connection with India by showcasing its pre-fall 2023 collection at the Gateway of India in Mumbai, with an emphasis on local craftsmanship through collaborations with Chanakya ateliers and the School of Craft.

Sonam joins the ranks of other Indian celebrities in high-profile partnerships, including Priyanka Chopra with Bulgari and Deepika Padukone with Louis Vuitton, as international brands continue to align with local icons in India’s booming luxury market.
